I'm on TV!  Okay, public access.  Okay, public access in Suffolk County.  But I was on TV!  The North Sea Poetry Scene hosted me and my poems for an hour of great discussion and analysis.  Grab some popcorn and give it a watch right here

50 Years Young:  My essay "Carrot Cake in a Revolution" will be included in the anthology Peace Corps at 50 to be published Spring 2011, the 50th anniversary of Peace Corps.  The story is about being an observer in a real historical event, and, well, about carrot cake.  Yum!

About the Author

Since she was seven years old, Cristina has pursued creative writing in its various forms: poetry, essays and book-length creative non-fiction.  Under her pen name, Cristina T. Lopez, her writing has appeared in both print and online anthologies. 

In 2003, Cristina published her first non-fiction book, Finding Francis, about finding someone she hadn’t seen in twenty years (Author House).  She is currently working on her second book of letters to a lost friend, Letters to Helen

Cristina is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (cum laude, 1997).  She is a member of the International Women Writers’ Guild (IWWG), Fresh Meadows Poets and was a resident poet at the Vermont Studio Center for November 2001.  Cristina spent 2003 to 2005 in Ukraine as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer.
